Why a Neuropsychological Evaluation?
Neuropsychology is a field designed to assess and treat clinical disorders from the understanding that human brains and behaviors are flexible and capable of being molded. A neuropsychological evaluation clarifies the nature of the disorder in the same way that a mechanic would look under the hood of a car to find out which parts and processes need ‘fixing’. However, unlike a mechanic, neuropsychology makes use of the infinite constructive capacity of the brain to rebuild itself using the very same parts that are ‘damaged’.
